Paint received a two-step compound and polish paint correction using the Rupes system. Paint condition prior to correction included moderate swirl marks, hard water spots, and over 50 deeper scratches that required extensive compounding and some wet-sanding. After compounding the paint it was polished to a high level of gloss then wiped down with Gtechniq panel wipe prior to paint coating.

The perfected Crystal White Pearl paint on this WRX was locked in and coated with one coat of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light followed by two coats of Gtechniq EXO v3. The wheels and exhaust outlets were also coated. Gtechniq ceramic nano coatings can provide up to 5 years of extreme hydrophobic paint protection from one application. Crystal Serum Light forms an ultra-durable, high-gloss, slick to the touch, chemically bonding inorganic layer of 9h optically clear ceramic. The high density ceramic layer is resistant to chemicals ranging from pH2 – pH12 and can be measured at 60 microns thick, or equal to 60 layers of traditional wax or paint sealant. These characteristics also make bonded contaminants such as tree sap, tar, and hard water spots, easy to remove.
